Public Relations Campaigns Course

Open Door PR – Strategic Campaign for Staks Pancake Kitchen

In my Public Relations Campaigns course, I had the opportunity to create a personalized agency, Open Door PR. Together, we developed a full strategic communication campaign for our client, Staks Pancake Kitchen.

Our team built the agency from the ground up—crafting a mission statement, defining our core values and establishing a clear vision for how we wanted to operate as emerging PR professionals. From there, we conducted extensive research, gathered audience insights and applied industry‑standard planning models to guide our strategy.

Over the semester, our initial outline evolved into a comprehensive 71‑page campaign book, a fully developed personal website and a 25‑minute client presentation summarizing our findings and recommendations. This project challenged me to think critically, collaborate effectively and apply everything I’ve learned throughout my PR coursework.

Personal Branding Suite

Style & Design for Public Relations

In my Style and Design Public Relations course, I developed a complete personal branding suite that laid the foundation for my professional identity. Throughout the semester, I created a cohesive visual system and applied it across multiple branded assets, all designed to reflect my personality values and communication style.

This project included:

  • A comprehensive brand kit with color palette, typography and visual guidelines
  • A custom LinkedIn header and website header
  • A visualized biography that blended storytelling with design
  • A personalized business card
  • A polished email signature
  • An outline for my personal website, integrating all elements into a unified brand experience

To bring these pieces to life, I worked across several Adobe platforms, gaining hands‑on experience with tools essential to modern PR and design work. This assignment pushed me to think intentionally about how I present myself as a communicator and how design can strengthen a professional narrative.

The Oaks Agency

Auburn University’s Student‑Run Public Relations Firm

I joined The Oaks Agency at the start of my junior year and had the opportunity to grow through two distinct roles—first as a creative contributor, then as a member of the executive leadership team.

Digital Design Chair — CMJN Client

Fall, Junior Year I began my time at The Oaks Agency as the Digital Design Chair for the College of Liberal Arts (CMJN). In this role, I created weekly promotional graphics for the client’s social media platforms, ensuring each piece aligned with their brand identity and communication goals. This position strengthened my design skills, sharpened my attention to detail and gave me hands‑on experience producing content for a real client.

New Member Recruitment Chair — Executive Team

Spring, Junior Year – Spring, Senior Year. The following semester, I transitioned into a year‑long executive role as the New Member Recruitment Chair. I helped lead the interview and selection process for incoming members and served as a point of contact for new recruits throughout their onboarding. Beyond recruitment, I supported current members by answering questions, offering guidance and helping foster a positive, collaborative environment within the agency.

This experience allowed me to blend creativity with leadership—strengthening my communication skills, building confidence in mentorship roles, and deepening my understanding of how a student‑run agency operates.
